I spent my summers on the island Hvar and sailing the Adriatic Sea on Riga, a 29 foot sailboat built by my father and grandfather.
At age 18, I moved to Wisconsin to attend Northland College. After graduation I worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended graduate school at the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Oregon.
My westward migration has continued and I am currently living in Washington state and working as faculty at CWU.
I enjoy international travel and outdoor recreation...and maps, obviously.
